MPs at Apprenticeship Fair

Helen Grant MP, Tracey Crouch MP, Helen Whately MP and Tom Tugendhat MP will be hosting the third annual Maidstone Apprenticeship Fair on Friday 7th February at Maidstone Leisure Centre.

The event will give year 11, 12 and 13 students from the local area the opportunity to meet with potential employers and explore the apprenticeship opportunities which are available to them. Leading international and local employers and over 750 students from schools across West and Mid Kent will participate on the day. The list of companies and organisations attending was originally put together by the students themselves.

More than 40 organisations have already confirmed their attendance including blue chip organisations such as: Barclays, BAE Systems, BMW, Lloyds Banking Group, Network Rail, Pfizer, Transport for London and The Army. Helen, Helen, Tracey and Tom will also be there on the day.

The MPs are inviting any businesses who offer apprenticeship opportunities to exhibit at the Fair. Any young people who are interested in apprenticeship opportunities, or their parents are also very welcome to attend. To register attendance as a business, prospective apprentice, parent or member of the media and for further enquires please contact: Alex Rolfe, Office of Helen Grant MP on 02072197107.

Helen Grant MP said: ‘I am hugely excited about the chance the Maidstone Apprenticeship Fair provides to once again bring together hundreds of local school students with the finest apprenticeship employers in the country. We know that this Fair really works both by informing young people about the life changing opportunities which apprenticeships can provide and in linking them up with specific roles. I am really looking forward to finding out what this year’s Fair has to offer.’
