In the House of Commons today I asked the Solicitor General what the formal procedures are for the Attorney General to recuse himself in matters involving former clients, such as Gerry Adams, and whether he had recused himself at all, in any matters, since taking office.

The Solicitor General failed to answer, but the Government must come clean. This goes far beyond individual matters of advice, it strikes at the very heart of the proper administration of justice.
