Having regularly campaigned for better local healthcare services, and made improving healthcare access a key priority, I am pleased to welcome a major expansion of services at the West Kent Community Diagnostic Centre.
This significant investment will increase local diagnostic capacity, helping more patients access vital tests more quickly, supporting earlier diagnosis and treatment, and easing pressure on services at Maidstone Hospital.
In 2026/27, the Centre is expected to deliver:
🔹 18,700 non-obstetric ultrasound scans
🔹 5,000 cardiac tests
🔹 5,000 echocardiograms
This is a significant step forward for healthcare provision across Maidstone and Malling, delivering real improvements in access to diagnosis and treatment for local people.
I will continue to press for further investment in our local NHS and to hold decision-makers to account to ensure residents across my constituency get the services they deserve.
