It was great to visit Kings Hill Sports Park once again, where I had a very constructive meeting with Andy Boxer, Chairman of Kings Hill Football Club. We discussed the ongoing development plans for the Sports Park, including the proposed upgrade of the first team pitch for Kings Hill FC, which will be an important investment in the club’s future.
Following the displacement of K Sports Hockey Club from its longstanding former home at Cobdown in Ditton in 2024, I am very encouraged to hear from Chairman Matt Sharpe that they have firm plans to move to Kings Hill Sports Park. They have formally rebranded as Kings Hill Hockey Club and a planning application is nearing readiness. If successful, this move will bring another high quality sporting offer to Kings Hill and a much-needed new base for hockey in West Kent.
I reiterate my full support for the continued development of Kings Hill Sports Park and all of its sporting opportunities. It is arguably the finest facility of its kind in Kent.
