Hawkhurst Tennis Club – new courts opening celebration July 2026.
What a fantastic day at Hawkhurst Tennis Club celebrating the opening of their three beautifully resurfaced courts. It was a real pleasure to join members, cut the ribbon, and even play a match on the new surface.
As Co-Chair of the APPG for Tennis, I’m always proud to support the LTA’s mission to grow tennis for everyone. It’s a special sport — team and individual, competitive and social — and Hawkhurst embodies that spirit perfectly.
I was excited to hear about the club’s plans to add a padel court too. More ways for people to get active and involved.
A huge thank you to Andrew Clarke (left), Guy the Chairman (right), and everyone who made the day so welcoming. If you live in or around Hawkhurst, come and join this friendly, thriving club. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year — hopefully this will become an annual tradition.
