It was a profound privilege to meet and speak with two of our brave and courageous Royal Marines at the UK Commando Force showcase in Parliament this week.
The display was hosted by the Shadow Defence team, who are doing incredible work supporting serving armed forces and our veterans. As the mother of a former Royal Marine Commando, I understand the true meaning of ‘Commando Spirit’: courage, determination, unselfishness, and cheerfulness in the face of adversity. I’m incredibly proud of The Corps and of everyone who serves in all of our armed forces.
And a special shout out to our own 36 Engineers and the Queen’s Gurkha Regiments at Invicta Park Barracks in Maidstone. Thank you for everything you do.
