Last week I was pleased to host a very constructive meeting in Parliament with Kings Hill based technology company Onwave, joined by Richard Holden MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, and his researcher.
We discussed Onwave’s OWL geofencing technology, which is already helping to improve safety, productivity and value for money on major infrastructure projects. With the UK facing rising delivery costs across transport, energy and construction, technology of this kind has real potential to inform future Conservative policy development across several departments, from Transport and Business & Trade to the Home Office and major project oversight bodies.
Richard and his researcher shared thoughtful insights with the Onwave team, and I am grateful to them for taking the time to engage so openly. A number of positive next steps were identified, including further parliamentary engagement, potential constituency visits, and opportunities for Onwave to connect with regional leaders responsible for major transport schemes.
I look forward to supporting the next stages of this work and to seeing how outstanding home‑grown Kings Hill technology can help deliver better outcomes for some of our major infrastructure projects, and lower costs for British taxpayers.
