Helen Grant MP

Simon and I have really enjoyed the Kings Hill Late Summer Party for the last three years, and the 2026 event on 6th September was yet another wonderful celebration of community spirit.  It was pleasure to share it with our brilliant lady mayor and friend Kim Tanner and her husband Jeff.

The band were superb once again and kept the crowd energised throughout the afternoon.  I’d book them for any occasion – the ‘Party Up Band’ – email [email protected].

The event is also an important fundraiser for the Rotary Club, who so far have declared over £2500 in monies from the bar and their raffle.  The Kings Hill food bank is another beneficiary of the event’s proceeds and the Women’s Institute are yet to declare the total raised from their raffle.  All will be reported in the next edition of ‘View From The Hill’ – the Town Council magazine.

Huge hats off to our Town Council leadership – Chairman Tony Petty, Clerk Karen Bell, deputy Chairman Felix Mclymont, and a special shout out for event organiser Hannah Usher, Deputy Clerk, for pulling everything together so seamlessly. You have once again delivered a brilliant day that brought families, friends and neighbours together in the best possible way.

Already looking forward to next year’s celebration!!
