It was a real pleasure to speak at the Conservative Women’s Organisation AGM in London last weekend.
The CWO has been a constant force for good in our Party and in our country since 1919. As the oldest affiliated female political organisation in the world, its mission has never wavered: to support women into public life, to champion their voices, and to help them progress as councillors, PCCs, mayors, parliamentary candidates and leaders within our voluntary Party.
I was especially proud to stand alongside good friends and fellow speakers Mims Davies MP, Baroness Stedman-Scott and the CWO’s outstanding Chair, Louise Brice. Her energy and commitment continue to inspire so many of us. Louise and her team work tirelessly to ensure that women from every background have the training and encouragement they need to step forward and serve.
Here’s to another year of championing women, shaping policy, and opening doors for the next generation of Conservative women leaders.
