Amidst the turmoil and failure caused by South East Water, South East Water CEO David Hinton shamefully refused to attend the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Scrutiny Committee, on the very same day that invitations were sent by SEW invited MPs to a webinar to discuss bill increases.
David Hinton's refusal to appear before the scrutiny committee demonstrates a lack of care and consideration in engaging with the issues facing residents arising from South East Water's longstanding failures.
There can be no question at all that it is simply wrong for people to see increases in their bills at a time when there are 1000s still awaiting compensation for the immense disruption caused by the loss of supply of water, caused by the failures of South East Water.
