Maidstone and the Weald MP, Helen Grant (Con), met numerous senior citizens when she spoke at a meeting of the Maidstone Older People's Forum, last Friday.
In a packed Hazlitt Theatre Exchange Studio, members of the Maidstone Older People's Forum were joined by some local councillors, as they enjoyed an interesting and humorous presentation by Helen Grant MP, on her first twenty months in Parliament. Helen's presentation was followed by a question and answer session.
Following the event Helen said, "I have spoken to the Maidstone Older Person's Forum before and I have always received a most warm welcome. This event, tailored for meeting and networking, is fantastic. I congratulate Cllr Peter Spearink and Cabinet member for Communities Cllr John Wilson for their work in promoting and sustaining this valued event."
There were further talks provided by representatives from the Alzheimer's Society, Guideposts Trust, Invicta Advocacy Network and the MP for Chatham and Aylesford, Tracey Crouch, who spoke of her work on the Dementia Committee at Parliament.
