Helen Grant Visits Linton Park School

Helen Grant MP, Member of Parliament for Maidstone and The Weald, visited Linton Park School on Friday, and was given a tour of their new Primary Department by Head of Primary, Kate Edwards.

The new department incorporates the latest educational technology such as interactive whiteboards and a virtual classroom, which allows students to have lessons with children not only IN other schools, but in other countries.  Set facing picturesque woodland, the aim of the department is to provide teachers with the best resources available to stimulate interest and develop learning.

Following her tour, Helen Grant gave a talk to the students in the Primary Department about her role in politics, as an MP and as a Minister.  She then held a Q & A session on life at Westminster and offered advice to those interested in pursuing a career in politics.

Speaking at Linton Park School, Helen Grant MP said:

"It was a real pleasure to visit Linton Park School once again, and to be shown the new Primary Department by Kate.  The facilities in the new building are incredibly impressive, and I have no doubt that they will only further augment the already very high standards Linton Park sets itself.

After meeting and talking to many students at the school, it is clear to me that Linton Park provides a positive environment that allows its pupils to develop into intelligent, confident, and thoughtful young men and women."
