Free Advice Surgery as Recession Bites
Weekly sessions get underway in Maidstone
Maidstone, Kent, 24th September 2008 – A new weekly surgery is being launched to give advice and guidance to help people deal with the pressures of the economic downturn.
Helen Grant, a Family and Community Solicitor of 20 years experience, will be running the advice surgeries most Thursdays starting on 2nd October at the Conservative Association offices, 3 Albion Place, Maidstone, ME14 5DY. An appointment is required and people must live in the constituency of Maidstone & The Weald. Confidential and practical guidance will be offered regarding debt, benefits, employment issues and family breakdown. Helen said “Our MP Ann Widdecombe already helps many people at her weekly surgeries. I will be providing this extra surgery on Thursdays to help the many additional people who are now suffering the direct and in-direct effects of the economic downturn. I will be referring those in need of ongoing specialist help to the relevant local agencies, legal advisors and voluntary organizations”.
Helen has been working closely with Ann Widdecombe in the constituency and hopes to succeed her when she retires from Parliament at the next General Election.
