Member of the Conservative Party Family Law Reform Commission

Activity: Undertaking a full review of family law including, but not limited to, areas such as divorce, cohabitation and parental / extended family rights

Member of the Conservative Party Social Mobility Task Force

Activity: Working with former Shadow Home Secretary David Davis to make specific findings, recommendations and practical proposals with the aim of promoting social mobility in Britain.

Special Advisor to the Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP, Chairman of Policy Review for the Conservative Party

Member of Conservative Party Social Justice Policy Group (Family Division)

Activity: Providing professional knowledge, opinion and experience at meetings, researching and preparing reports and papers.  Helen was one of the authors of the Social Justice Policy Group Report 'State of the Nation - Fractured Families' published in December 2006  http://www.centreforsocialjustice.org.uk/client/downloads/BB_family_breakdown.pdf

Member of National Advisory Group for Domestic Violence

Activity: Providing professional knowledge, opinion and experience at meetings on national domestic violence issues including the Domestic Violence Crimes & Victims Act 2004.

Member of the Law Society Equality & Diversity Committee

Activity: Advising the Law Society Council, its Boards and committees on matters of equality, diversity and inclusion.

Family Justice Centre (FJC)

Helen was a member of the senior management team of the Croydon Family Justice Centre and has an excellent knowledge and working relationship with many social welfare agencies and organisations. The first of its kind in Europe, the FJC is based on a successful US project in San Diego where multi-agencies have come together under one roof to provide a 'one-stop shop' for victims of violence in the home. The 42 partner organisations include the police, the NHS, housing, social services, solicitors, victim support and many others.
